Syria Opens Fire on Protesters


For the first time, Syria has now deployed gunships in an effort to disband the throng of pro-democracy protesters that have been there for three months now.

News reports in the last week have all stated that the violence is escalating daily with refugees spilling over into the border of Turkey, causing new waves of need for humanitarian relief.

This begins on the day the protesters rallied nation-wide over the policies of President Bashar al-Assad, who is steadfast about the harsh crackdown on anti-governmental protests.
