Scheduled Presenters

Should your proposal be accepted and scheduled, the primary presenter will receive:

 One waiver of the full conference fee for the primary presenter, which includes the banquet dinner
 Certificate of Appreciation
 Acknowledgement by name at the banquet dinner

The conference is approved for 24 CEUs by NAADAC, NBCC, NASW, and others. Please check our website for a complete list of approvals.

Keynote Speaker

J. Brendan O'Neill
In 2009 Governor Jack Markell appointed J. Brendan O'Neill to be the Public Defender for the State of Delaware. Mr. O'Neill graduated from Dartmouth College and The King Hall School of Law at the University of California at Davis. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1975 and the Delaware Bar in 1993.  
Mr. O'Neill served as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County and as an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles. He was in private criminal defense practice in Santa Monica for 14 years before moving to Delaware in 1993.

As Delaware's Public Defender, Mr. O'Neill captains a team of 73 lawyers and 80 non-lawyers defending indigent people accused of crimes. 

In 2006 the Delaware Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers named Mr. O'Neill the recipient of its Killen Award, presented to an individual seeking fairness and justice for persons accused of crime. In 2008 Mr. O'Neill was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

In 2011 the Delaware State Bar Association presented Brendan with its Government Service Award.
